Eligibility: A MBA or MSA student who drops units on or before the published drop date shall be entitled to a pro-rata refund of applicable tuition and fees less a non-refundable administrative fee of $20.00. The pro-rata refund is determined on the basis of the drop date that results in a lower tuition fee charge and the length of the semester. The length of the semester is calculated from the first day of instruction through final exams and excludes any breaks of five (5) days or more.

Calculation: Students will receive a pro-rata refund less a non-refundable administrative fee of $20.00. Refund checks are processed and forwarded to the student's home address on file within two - three weeks from the published drop date. A refund request form is not required unless students want to expedite the refund process. Allow 2 - 3 weeks from the date the refund request form is received and stamped by the Bursar's Office for checks to be processed.

Example A: An graduate MBA or MSA student enrolls for 12 units, paying the $3,369 Tuition Fee, $560 MBA/MSA Program Fee, $3,048 Professional Program Fee (12 units x $254), and $181 Campus Fees (total fees paid: $7,158. The student drops a 3 unit MBA/MSA course (3 units at $254 = $762) 3 days into the 33-day session of R1. Student was enrolled for 9.1% of the 3-unit MBA/MSA course and receives a refund of 90.9% of the Professional Program Fee for the 3 units, $672.66 ($692.66 less $20 non-refundable administrative fee). The student is still enrolled in more than 6 units, so there is no refund of the MBA/MSA Program Fee.

Example B: An graduate MBA or MSA student enrolls for 9 units, paying the $3,369 Tuition Fee, $560 MBA/MSBA Program Fee, $2,286 Professional Program Fee (9 units x $254), and $181 Campus Fees (total fees paid: $6,396). The student drops a 3 unit MBA/MSA course (3 units at $254 = $762) 3 days into the 33-day session of R1. Student was enrolled for 9.1% of the 3-unit MBA/MSA course and receives a refund of 90.9% of the Professional Program Fee for the 3 units, the student also received the difference in MBA/MSA Program Fee for than 6.1 units or more and less than 6 units $233.00 ($560 - $327) plus a partial refund of Tuition Fees of $1,416.00 due to enrolling in less than 6.1 units.. The total refund to the student is $2,321.66 ($692.66 + $233 + $1,416 less $20 non-refundable administrative fee).

Example C: An graduate MBA or MSA student enrolls for 9 units, paying the $3,369 Tuition Fee, $560 MBA/MSA Program Fee, $2,286 Professional Program Fee (9 units x $254), and $181 Campus Fees (total fees paid: $6,396). The student drops a 3 unit MBA/MSA course 20 days into the 33-day session of R1. The student missed the deadlines for refunding of partial Tuition Fees, Professional Program Fees, and the MBA/MSA Program Fee so there is no refund due to the student.

Note: Students will not be eligible for Professional Prgram Fee and/or MBA/MSA Program Fee refund for unit load change that results in lower Professional Program Fee and/or MBA/MSA Program Fee charges after the Published Drop Deadline Date unless a total withdrawal or cancellation of all classes takes place before the first day of instruction for the earliest enrolled session.
