Fee and Payment Information


The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum.  Tuition fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate.  Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial tuition fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed tuition fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun.  All CSU listed tuition fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees and/or the Campus.


Summer 2014

Special Circumstances- Financial Aid Recipients

If you have been awarded and you have accepted an offer of Financial Aid (excluding College Work Study) for Summer 2014, you will be given a fee deferment. Enroll in classes by following the Registration Procedures.

No on-line registration is available for Summer 2014. Please contact your department about which courses you wish to add. They will forward your add requests to the Registrar's Office to enroll you in Summer 2014 classes. The Financial Aid Office will not authorize disbursement until you are officially enrolled in at least the minimum number of units required for the types and amounts of Financial Aid you have been awarded. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.


If you are found to be ineligible for Financial Aid after you have enrolled in classes, you must pay your fees before the first day of instruction for the earliest enrolled session. If your Financial Aid is not sufficient to pay your fees in full, you will be responsible for paying the balance before the first day of instruction for the earliest enrolled session. Payments received after the first day of instruction for the earliest enrolled session, may be assessed a late non-refundable administrative fee of $20. If you register for classes and decide not to attend SF State, you MUST drop all classes by the published refund deadline dates through Gator Reg (SF State's web registration system) and/or in person with the Registrar's Office. Note: Refund application requests received from subsidized students whose fees were deducted from Financial Aid awards will be processed only after additional payment is received from the agency.
