What exactly do the local fees cover?
Below is a breakdown of the local fees* and the goods and services that they secure:
Student Body Center Fee ($82.00)- Established in 1969 to construct, maintain, and operate the Cesar Chavez Student Center (Student Union).
Recreation and Wellness Center Fee ($90.00)- On March 5. 2010, President Robert A. Corrigan approved the increase of the Recreation and Wellness Center fee. The Recreation and Wellness Center Fee was increased by an additional $55 for a total of $90 for the Fall 2012 semester.
Student Body Association Fee ($54.00)- Established in 1933 for use by the Associated Students.
Student Health Service Fee ($140.00)- Established in 1992 to cover services provided at the Student Health Center. On April 26, 2012, President Robert A. Corrigan approved the increase of the Student Health Service Fee. The Student Health Service Fee was increased by an additional $4 for a total of $140 for the Fall 2013 semester.
Instructionally Related Activities Fee ($50.00)- Established in 1978 to support intercollegiate arts performances, media programs, etc.
Instructionally Related Activities Athletics Fee ($68.00)- Maintains athletics programs.
Health Facilities Fee ($3.00)- Maintains access to the Student Health Center facility.
Identification Card Fee ($2.00)- Established in 1974, the picture ID card provides access to campus services.
