Fee and Payment Information

 

Important Notice:

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum.  Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate.  Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun.  All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees and/or the Campus.

April 27, 2009 – May 8, 2009
Monday - Friday
 Early Priority Registration for continuing students.
July 9, 2009
 Thursday
Fee payment deadline period. Fees must be paid by the fee payment deadline of July 9, 2009 (by 5:00pm) to be eligible to register for classes during Final Priority Registration period in January.
After July 9, 2009
 Thursday
An additional $20 administrative fee will be assessed on all late registration fee payments for continuing students.
August 3, 2009 - August 14, 2009
Monday - Friday
Priority Registration for new incoming students and Final Priority Registration for continuing students.
August 14, 2009 & August 17, 2009
 Friday & Monday
 Campus Fourlough Days. All offices closed.
August 17, 2009 - August 21, 2009
Monday - Friday
Open Registration period (requires a $25 late fee unless admitted after the Priority Registration period).
August 24, 2009
Monday
Last day for 100% refund for students who drop all classes/withdraw from the University  (see Refund Guidelines).
August 25, 2009
Tuesday
First day of instruction.

Pro-rata refund for students who drop all classes/withdraw from the University (see Refund Guidelines).
September 4, 2009

 Furlough Day. No classes; all offices closed.
September 7, 2009

Labor Day. No classes; all offices closed.

 Furlough Day. No classes; all offices closed.
September 11, 2009

  • Last day to drop classes without receiving a "W" grade.
  • Last day for partial refund of State University fee for full-time students who drop to and maintain 6.0 units or less (see Refund Guidelines).
  • Last day for Pro-rata refund of Non-resident tuition for international and out-of-state students who drop units resulting in lower tuition (see Refund Guidelines).
  • Last day for Pro-rata refund of MBA/MSBA Professional Fee for MBA/MSBA students who drop units resulting in lower tuition (see Refund Guidelines).
  • Resident Installment - Second Payment Due.
  • Nonresident Installment - Second Payment Due.

    		Withdrawal from class(es) or from the University is not permitted during this period except in cases of verified accident or serious illness. Go to the One Stop Student Services Center for further instructions (see Refund Guidelines).

    		Thanksgiving recess. No classes; all offices closed on November 26, 2009 and November 27, 2009.
    December 4, 2009
    Friday
    		International Installment - Fourth Payment Due.
    December 15, 2009 - December 21, 2009
    Tuesday - Monday
    		Final examinations.
    December 22, 2009 - January 24, 2010
    Tuesday - Saturday
    		Winter recess. No classes.
    January 5, 2010
    Tuesday
  • Grades due.
  • Semester ends.
    •     Important Notice: All University offices will be closed Thursday, December 24, 2009 at noon through Sunday, January 3, 2010.
