ANTH 328 : Anthropology and Photography

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Examination of the documentary, social, political, and aesthetic roles of photography (and the archive and photo-essay) in anthropology as a mode of representation and control, but also of resistance. (Cross listed with JOUR 328. May not be repeated under alternate prefix.) (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
