CHIN 612 : Negotiating Chineseness in the Late 20th and 21st Centuries

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor; ENG 214 or its equivalent with a grade of C- or better; Chinese majors.
Description: Exploration of multiple negotiation of Chineseness through a wide range of texts from the People's Republic, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Chinese Diaspora. Focus on literary, cinematic and critical works produced between 1970 and present.
