CINE 211 : Film History I

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or above, or consent of instructor; cinema major/minor.
Description: Narrative, documentary, and experimental films (1895-1945), including directors such as Griffith, Murnau, Eisenstein, Pudovkin, Bunuel, Chaplin, Richter, Dreyer, Pabst, Lorentz, Deren, Cocteau. Must be completed with a grade of C or better. [Formerly CINE 300; CINE 311.]
