PLSI 782 : Colonialism, Gender and Scientific Racism

Prerequisites: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Intellectual history of scientific racism, colonial regimes, and gendered oppression. Impact of colonialism on contemporary identities and contemporary approaches to knowledge; in particular, the museum, the household, the body, mission schools, and new forms of work.
