MUS 550 : Music from the Middle Ages to 1750

Prerequisites: MUS 233 and satisfaction of Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR).
Description: From Gregorian Chant through the death of Bach. Music of the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras involving stylistic and formal analysis. Examples from literature are related to performance practices of each period. Intended for music majors and minors. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
