MUS 505 : Music of the World's Peoples

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Non-Western music and arts, studied within their socio-cultural context. Autochthonous, folk, and classical music in societal context as art forms. Lecture, discussion, and guided listening, enhanced by selected audio-visual presentations and readings. [GE]
