Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Introduction to the complexity and diversity of the Muslim world with identification of transnational trends and linkages that characterize contemporary Muslim societies. Organized around seminal issues and themes, does not require prior knowledge of Islam. [GE]
