ENG 780 : Seminar: Wilde and James

Prerequisites: Pre- or co-requisite: ENG 741 or consent of instructor.
Description: An examination of the works of Oscar Wilde and Henry James to analyze themes of homosexuality (and gender) in the Victorian period. Background materials from relevant essayists (Symonds and Carpenter) and poets (Hopkins, Swinburne, Housman).
