ENG 719 : Seminar: Contemporary Semantic Theory

Prerequisites: ENG 421 and graduate status or consent of instructor.
Description: Introduces tools used to investigate semantic structure (the interpretation of linguistic expressions); develops logical representations for English sentences; investigates entailments and presuppositions at word level (lexical semantics) and discourse level (pragmatics).
