COMM 664 : Research Methods in Language and Social Interaction

Prerequisites: COMM 150 and ENG 214 or equivalents; enrollment priority to upper division COMM majors.
Description: Methods for exploring verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors in language and social interaction. Transcription and analysis of everyday face-to-face talk. Data analysis methods include conversation analysis, ethnomethodology, speech acts, and gesture analysis.
