CINE 745 : Post-colonial Cinema

Prerequisites: CINE 700 or equivalent and consent of instructor.
Description: Examination of post-colonial theories, including notions of modernity, nationalism, post-nationalism, hybridity, subalternity, as well as the politics of differences, and how they can be applied to critical thinking in film. Attention is paid to both Hollywood cinema and third world cinema. (AB/NC grading only.)
