C W 600 : The Uses of Personal Experience

Prerequisites: C W 301 or consent of instructor.
Description: Examines one of the fundamental problems for writers: what is the difference between the purely personal and a finished work of art. Studies the "I" point of view, self-mythologizing, historical contexts, and exemplary personal narratives for guides to enlarge our personal material.
