SOC 500 : Sociology of Knowledge

Prerequisites: Completion of GE Segment I requirements including ENG 214 or equivalent, upper division standing, SOC 300, SOC 370 or 371, SOC 392, or consent of instructor.
Description: Sociological perspectives on the relationship between knowledge and social circumstances: traditional foundations of the field; contemporary debates including questions of multiculturalism, gender related issues, competing environmental epistemologies. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
