GEOL 795 : Hydrogeology Expedition
| Prerequisites: | Senior or graduate standing; GEOL 475 or GEOL 775; or consent of instructor. |
| Description: | Groundwater-age dating techniques to identify paleoclimate signals in groundwater toward understanding groundwater sustainability. Travel to the North China Plain aquifer, near Beijing, China where students participate in a field survey by collecting groundwater samples for isotopic analysis and participate 10 times in a training workshop with Chinese hydrogeology students. (Plus-minus letter grade only.) |
