| Description: | Theories and educational programs focusing on children's social and emotional development in culturally responsive early childhood settings. Attachment relationships, prosocial behavior, self-esteem, identity formation, friendships, guidance, and classroom management. There is a requirement of 50 hours of classroom observation/participation per semester when a student is enrolled in one or more undergraduate ECE courses. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
