RRS 670 : Making Whites: Race-making in America

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Evolution and implications of whiteness in America from colonial period to the present post-Civil Rights, multicultural era; includes the definition of whiteness and critical role of the racial construction of whiteness in the history of American racism and race relations.
