HIST 830 : Intellectual History of Latin America

Prerequisites: Classified graduate status in history or consent of instructor.
Description: Evolution of Latin American thought from independence to the present. Intellectual movements and influential writers in the context of the historical conditions that produced them. Attention to elements for a counter discourse to Eurocentric interpretations of Latin America's intellectual development.
