CHEM 343 : Biochemistry I Laboratory

Prerequisites: CHEM 234 (formerly CHEM 334) with grade of C or better; CHEM 321 recommended; concurrent enrollment with CHEM 340 or CHEM 349 or consent of instructor.
Description: Chemical and enzymatic experiments involving proteins, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids with emphasis on enzyme kinetics. Utilization of standard and modern biochemical techniques. (Charges for missing or damaged laboratory locker items apply.) Classwork, 1 unit; laboratory, 2 units. Extra fee required. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
