MATH 477 : Partial Differential Equations

Prerequisites: MATH 376 with grade of C or better.
Description: Study of partial differential equations in rectangular and polar coordinates. Initial and boundary value problems for the heat equation and wave equation. Study of Fourier series, Bessel series, harmonic functions and Fourier transforms. (Paired with MATH 777. Students who have completed MATH 777 may not take MATH 477 for credit.)
