LTNS 485 : Latina/o Youth, Crime, and Justice

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: Examination of Latino juvenile justice, the myths and realities, and the over incarceration of Latino youth: its sources, costs, and consequences; and impact on individuals, families, and communities. Latino experiences with schooling, police, gangs, drugs, "juvie," and caseworkers are covered. This course is offered as LTNS 485 [RAZA 485] and C J 485.
