BIOL 772 : Molecular Methods in Medical Microbiology

Prerequisites: Graduate status, biochemistry and microbiology courses with laboratory, or consent of instructor.
Description: Overview of clinically significant microorganisms, emphasizing functional roles of biological macromolecules in pathogenesis and genetic applications. Lab covers basic principles and current molecular techniques used in model microbes. Classwork, 1 or 2 units; laboratory, 1 or 2 units. Extra fee required.
