BIOL 712 : Proteomic Techniques

Prerequisites: CHEM 349 or equivalent.
Description: Proteomics is the study of proteins as expressed products of activated genes that regulate cellular functions. Experience in isolation, purification, sequence and analysis of proteins. Includes 2-D gels, mass spectrometric analysis and database searches. Classwork two units; laboratory one unit. Extra fee required. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
