AFRS 660 : Civil Rights Movement and Education

Prerequisites: Upper division standing or consent of instructor.
Description: The civil rights movement and its impact on the education of Black children and youth. Implications of equal access and justice from Brown vs. Board of Education to contemporary issues in urban schools; desegregation and leadership; historically Black colleges and educational alternatives.
