MSCI 746 : Geology of the Monterey Bay Region

Prerequisites: Graduate status or consent of instructor.
Description: Geology, tectonics, and active naturally occurring processes in the Monterey Bay region and in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The geologic and tectonic history of central California, plate tectonic processes, representative stratigraphy and geomorphology of the Monterey Bay region. Classwork, 1 unit; laboratory, 3 units. (Plus-minus letter grade only.)
