GEOL 410 : Volcanology

Prerequisites: GEOL 110 or consent of instructor.
Description: Volcanic processes, landforms, structures, and rocks; origin and differentiation of magma and relation to place boundaries; case studies of volcanic events on earth and other planets; applications to archaeology and other disciplines. Classwork, 2 units; laboratory and fieldwork, 1 unit. Extra fee required.
