BIOL 327 : AIDS: Biology of the Modern Epidemic

Prerequisites: One course in college biology.
Description: Intended for biology majors and non-majors. Modern epidemic of AIDS is viewed from biological and social perspectives: virology, epidemiology, the immune system, disease states, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, public health issues, sexuality, response of the scientific community, comparison with other historical epidemics.
