PHIL 508 : Roots of the Hindu and Buddhist Traditions

Prerequisites: ENG 114 or equivalent.
Description: Origins of the two main spiritual traditions of India: Hinduism and Buddhism; including Upanishadic teachings, with their Vedic antecedents, and Buddhism, in both Theravada and Mahayana forms. Emphasis is on the distinct Indian vision of the human condition. [GE]
