CLAS 720 : Death in Greece and Rome

Prerequisites: reading knowledge of either Latin or Greek.
Description: Ancient literature, from poetry to philosophy, together with the archaeological evidence, from tombs to funerary inscriptions, form the basis for exploring beliefs about death and the development of ideas of an afterlife.
