PHIL 301 : Ancient Philosophy

Prerequisites: PHIL 110 and ENG 214 or equivalents.
Description: Origins of Western philosophy in the Eastern Mediterranean region: from the presocratics to the Stoics, Epicureans, and Neo-Platonists, emphasizing Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Connections and contrasts between philosophy, natural science, myth, and religion. [GE]
