Description |
The purpose of this project is to provide every housing unit on campus with a consistent telecommunications package including satellite television, high-speed internet and VoIP telephone service. |
Scope of work |
The first phase of the project involves the upgrade of network cabling and connection in Mary Park and Mary Ward Halls, as well as the construction of a satellite television head-end in the basement of the Village at Centennial Square. |
Progress Report |
In March, cable pulling continued in both Mary Park and Mary Ward Halls and network closet cable termination is almost complete at Mary Park Hall. Telephone service was switched over to the new VoIP system in the Village at Centennial Square (VCS), the Towers at Centennial Square (TCS) and the Science and Technology Theme Community (STTC). |
