The Residence Apartment Building
was closed for two years due to faulty construction resulting in water intrusion
and mold. The University successfully litigated a settlement with the contractor
to remediate and repair the building. Some structural work was included.
Upon its reopening in the Fall
2004, 600 beds in renovated 1- and 2-bedroom apartments were again made
available to transfer or sophomore students
under the age of 20. The
apartment building was renamed the Towers at Centennial Square. The Guest
Center/International Community was renamed the Science and Technology Community,
to house full-time freshmen under the age of 20. |
