HSS seismic shoring

This project shored up and strengthened the original, southern section of the HSS Building, which was designed and constructed to the standards of the 1950s, and was therefore more susceptible to sustaining damage during earthquakes than newer buildings.

Full height support and steel brackets were added to the columns. Work was conducted by the contractor four columns at a time.
