Enhanced Classrooms
Before
you use the classrooms, we recommend you read through our Console
Primer.
Tips, hints and
instructions for laptop users.
Faculty should read the manuals available
online and arrange for a training. We
cannot stress enough the importance of reading the manual and familiarizing
yourself with the equipment before the semester starts. Training is scheduled based on room availablity and takes up to 45 minutes.
For an
appointment for training please call Laurie Sosna
at 338-1492 or send an email.
Consoles include: a video/data projector, VCR/DVD player, cablecast reception, a sound system (some have microphones), a VGA cable to connect your laptop (or one of ours) to the video projector and an instruction manual. Some consoles have a video overhead (for opaque materials as well as transparencies).
Special note for faculty using classrooms with wireless microphones:
Please be aware that many faculty use these classrooms during each day.
It is very important that you recharge the wireless microphone.
Please plug it back into the charger after each use.
Over the years, we have refined these consoles, streamlining the controls and layout. Therefore, we have several configurations, sometimes in the same building.
REPORTING PROBLEMS:
Call our office at 81494 as soon as you identify a problem. We need to see the problem to fix it.
Let us know who you are, what classroom you're in and the problem with as much detail as you can give us. Sometimes we can help you over the phone or we will send out someone as quickly as we can. On rare occasions we may need to wait until the classroom has been vacated to fix the problem.
