Make sure the
power cord and ethernet cable are lying flat on the floor.
The ethernet connection should be located somewhere near the front
of the room and the working jack should be marked with a star (the
top one is usually the active port).
Question: How far should the cart be from the screen?
Answer: 10 feet or more. You may need to move some desks around to get the cart in position.
Hint: The projector turns 90 degrees on a swivel mount. If you set the cart as shown below, the projector will shoot the image over your shoulder while you can view your presentation on the monitor like a teleprompter.
Question: How far is 10 feet?
Answer: Count off the floor tiles. They are 1 foot squares.
Question: How do I adjust the focus and image size?
Answer: The projector has a zoom lens. Turn the outer ring to zoom, the inner ring to focus.
Question: Do you have remote controls so I don't have to stand next the machine to advance my presentation?
Answer: Yes. There is one velcroed to each cart.
Question: Can I add software?
Answer: Yes. We only ask that you place the software folder and all data files on the desktop (rather than somewhere in the Applications or Programs folder) so we can delete it easily. We cannot leave the software on the machine due to restrictive licensing agreements. We know it's a pain to have to reload it each time, but rules are rules.
Make sure all CD-ROMS, floppy and Zip Discs are removed before you shut down. We have some very sad orphaned discs in our lost and found drawer.
