This video reviews the Rodney King incident, the subsequent police beating trial, and the rioting that followed in south central Los Angeles when the acquittal was announced. Footage of King charging the officers, techniques which could have been used to subdue him, problems in the police department’s command structure and efforts to rebuild the community after the riots are also included.
