Walter Munk and his colleagues tracked Pacific Ocean waves from Antarctica to Alaska in the classic 1963 " Waves Across the Pacific " study. Starting from that experiment, this BBC Open University video surveys wave attenuation, measurements of wave height and speed, and how waves alter shorelines.
