Filmed in 1968 by Timothy Asch and Napoleon Chagnon, this documentary shows the first stages of alliance formation between two of many mutually hostile Yanomamo Indian villages, the Patanowa-teri and the Mahekodo-teri, living in the region between southe rn Venezuela and northern Brazil. Through feasting, trading, dancing and chanting both tribes hope to renew an old alliance. See also AV # 5511.
