This documentary by Les McLaren and Annie Stiven about documentary filmmaking looks at the work of Australian filmmakers Gary Kildea, Dennis O’Rourke, Bob Connolly and others among the indigenous peoples of Papua New Guinea, and at the work of indig enous PNG filmmakers themselves. The practicalities, politics, cultural barriers and aesthetics of their efforts are explored.
