This video records Southwestern Pomo women performing Bole Maru religious rituals - five Native American dances in costume around a fire with a brush enclosure. Filmed in 1961 by C. B Smith at the Kashia Reservation near Stewart’s Point, California , under the anthropological supervision of D. W. Peri and Samuel A. Barrett of UC Berkeley.
