This two-part PBS documentary explores the war between Mexico and the United States which changed a continent. In this second program the former Mexican President and exiled General Antonio López de Santa Anna returns to unite Mexico against the U .S. invasion, but cannot prevent the loss of Mexico City. The war ends with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and the Southwest is ceded to the United States. Directed by Ginny Martin; narrated by Bruce DuBose. Closed captioned.
