In this BBC Open University video scientists explain research which found a genetic component to homosexuality - a gay gene. The process of interviewing gay men and their families, plotting family trees, extracting and analyzing DNA samples, and drawing conclusions from the data is traced. The scientists then consider the meaning, social importance and bioethical implications of the findings.
