In continuous use since the middle of the nineteenth century, the water-driven turbine-powered, woodworking mill operated by Ben Thresher of Barnet, Vermont, is one of the last surviving mills of its kind in America, and an example of the water-powered t echnology that supported this country’s settlement and development.
