This study of the death penalty in the United States focuses on the resurgence in its use in last thirty years, following a 1972 Supreme Court decision outlawing capital punishment. The cases of Gary Gilmore, John Spenkelink, Ted Bundy - and of " J ohnny D " Walter MacMillian, who was found innocent after being sentenced to death - are discussed. Host Mike Wallace.
