This documentary by Dante J. James explores the life of A. Philip Randolph, African American labor leader and civil rights activist. The program shows how Randolph helped organize the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, compelled President Roosevelt to end segregation in federal employment, forced President Truman to integrate the military, and, at the age of 74, led the 1963 March on Washington.
