Thomas Alva Edison, a workaholic with only three months formal schooling, changed the world with his inventions. This three-part History Channel series chronicles the stories of the Wizard of Menlo Park and his most famous creations - the phonograph, the electric light, and the motion picture. This video traces Edison’s part in the race to create the incandescent light, from the failure of his first prototype to his triumphant Menlo Park demonstration in 1879.
