In 1993 two Tlingit teenagers, Simon Roberts and Adrian Rush-Guthrie, were brought before the Klawock community tribal court in Alaska, after already spending a year in a county jail awaiting trial for robbery, in Washington state. The young men were sen tenced to spend 12 to 18 months isolated on separate islands - a sentence based in Tlingit tradition. This film shows the effect of the sentence on their lives and their community.
